For travellers with a visual and/or physical disability, a number of special travel products are available. This page describes them.

Sentire is a travel product for public transport chip card for people with a visual disability. Sentire is a prepaid subsription for travelling for regular prices. With Sentire you travel for a reduced entry fee of €1.20. This entry fee is based on the average trip price in city and regional transport in the Netherlands. This means that Sentire reduces the negative consequences of not checking out.
OV-chip Plus is a useful subsription for public transport chip card for people with a visual disability. With OV-chip Plus you book your train trip by phone with the NS Customer Service so you don’t need to check in or out with your chip card. With OV-chip Plus you can travel with all public transport companies in the Netherlands, and it can also be combined with your NS subsription. The trips booked are invoiced on a monthly basis.
If you have a visual disability, an NS Businesscard may be a good plan for you. With the NS Businesscard you pay for your travels at the end of each month by checking in and out, and you can travel with all public transport companies. You don’t have to worry about your card balance anymore, instead receiving a monthly invoice. Automatic payment takes place around 1.5 months after the month of your travels, so you can first check if everything is all right before you pay..
If you are unable to travel alone as a result of your disability, you are eligible for an OV-begeleiderskaart. With the OV-begeleiderskaart, one guide or attendant can travel with you for free. You should still have your own valid ticket, however. The plan is registered in your name, so any guide or attendant can travel with you. The guide or attendant should be at least 12 years old, and you should travel together for the whole trip. You can request this card with NS. The plan is free, and is valid for 5 years.
